San Pableño Educators Acclaim First Personality Development and Disaster Preparedness Seminar
“Learn to love yourself and everything will follow…nothing will go wrong”, uttered Mr. James Cooper during the Personality Development and Disaster Preparedness Seminar which was held last July 12, Saturday.
Teachers who attended the recently-conducted Personality Development and Disaster Preparedness Seminar at San Pablo Central School, San Pablo City said that this program will surely enhance the level of confidence of teachers in inspiring their students.
The teachers perceived the program as a beneficial tool in teaching because their characteristics and appearances can have positive or negative impact to students.
This project was spearheaded by Laguna 3rd District Representative Sol Aragones together with her team which includes Mr. James Cooper, Mr. Renee Salud, Mr. Rj Geotina, Mr. Egay Victorio and Mr. Louie Domingo of Smart Communications, in collaboration with DepEd San Pablo City Division led by Mrs. Susan DL Oribiana OIC – Schools Division Superintendent. It aims to help teachers maximize available resources to reach a person’s full potential through a well-rounded personality by being confident about their physical appearances and packaging themselves through proper dressing and grooming, and acquire knowledge on the basic measures in mitigating the effects of disasters and apply them when the need arises.
Sesen D. De Lima, Teacher 1 from Ambray E/S said that through the program, she now envisions the teachers of San Pablo City as carriers of the plan for the good of the faculty, students and the community.
“Sa tulong nito, nakikita namin ang aming sarili bilang mga tagahubog ng mga bata na may tiwala sa sarili at bilang katulong ng komunidad sa pagtuturo sa mga bata sa mga magulang sa mga maaring gawin upang lahat tayo ay maging handa at ligtas sa panaho ng mga sakuna kahit kami ay nasa loob lamang ng aming mga classrooms”. De Lima added.
The program flowed the whole day through the expert’s pieces of advice, raffle draws, make-over, fashion show, picture taking, lectures through power point presentations, games and demonstrations. After the seminar, the teachers gave positive feedback, and affirmed that they are willing to apply what they have learned.
